Pertino Selected as Finalist for the Tech Trailblazers Awards

LOS GATOS, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 26, 2013) - Pertino, a company reinventing networking for the cloud era, today announced selection as a finalist for the Tech Trailblazers awards in the networking category, a new concept in awards designed exclusively for small businesses and startups.

In October, Pertino introduced AppScape™, the industry's first app store for cloud network services, along with major additions to its SDN-powered Cloud Network Engine, including combining its recently announced Network Service Virtualization (NSV) technology with a new policy framework. Pertino is currently available on Windows, Mac, Linux (beta), and Android (beta) with network plans starting at 10 devices for $29/month, or $290 annually. Customers can change plans anytime, as they grow.

"The IT value-chain is rapidly shifting from hardware to cloud and software, allowing companies of all sizes to become more agile, competitive and adaptive to social and economic trends that affect their business," said Todd Krautkremer, vice president of marketing for Pertino. "Being selected as a finalist for the Tech Trailblazers awards underscores the role that software-defined and cloud-based networks and Pertino will play in shaping a more secure and productive future for SMB organizations."

Tech Trailblazers is a global awards program recognizing technological and commercial innovation and entrepreneurial excellence. Pertino was named as a finalist in the networking category alongside Aryaka, Qwilt, Racktivity and StackDriver. The winners will be determined by public voting and a judging panel, with voting set to begin in early December.

About Pertino
Founded in 2011, Pertino is reinventing networking for the cloud era, and in the process, providing a catalyst for democratizing IT for small-to-medium businesses. Globalization, cloud-enabled IT, and growing demand for always-connected people, devices, and things is affecting businesses of all sizes - making the "outside network" as critical as the inside one. However, traditional VPN networks have not kept pace. Pertino's revolutionary Cloud Network Engine enables any business to build a simple and secure cloud-based network that connects people to IT resources from anywhere on the planet. No hardware. No networking knowledge. No upfront investment. To achieve this breakthrough, Pertino has developed a software platform that combines the power and pervasiveness of the cloud with Software-defined Networking (SDN), network and service virtualization technology and cloud-based management. The company is venture funded and headquartered in Los Gatos, Calif. For more information or to try Pertino for yourself, please visit
